Located in Kaunas, Lithuania, Baltreka is a subsidiary of the parent company, Rectory Food Group, the leading multi million euro, UK food company.

Baltreka was formed in early 2008 in response to the opportunities created by the independence and accession into the EEC of the former Soviet States of Lithuania, Latvia & Estonia.

The parent company originally began trading with Lithuania in 2003 and worked with a number of chicken and turkey factories in assisting them with the approval of the British Retail Consortium (BRC) standards that allowed product to be sold to all the major Western European food manufacturing companies.

Eastern European business became an increasingly important part of the parent operation and so in early 2008, in response to the increasing business, Vaida Sidlauskiene joined from a Lithuanian poultry company & worked with Rectory Foods in founding and creating the Baltreka operation.

Since that time Baltreka has become an established, well respected and important member of the food trading community in the Baltic States and Eastern Europe.

Working regularly in the sectors of chicken, turkey, duck, pork, beef, vegetables and seeds, Baltreka now regularly exports to the UK, Scandinavia, Germany, Holland, Austria, China and sources product in the UK, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Scandinavia, Germany, Poland, Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, India & China.
